Lilley joins Bradford Bulls on loan
Leeds Rhinos half back Jordan Lilley has joined Bradford Bulls on loan.
Lilley will return to the Bulls, where he made 12 appearances in 2017, with immediate effect for the remainder of this season with the intention that he will be on loan there for the 2019 season as well. Lilley is contracted to the Rhinos until the end of the 2020 Betfred Super League season.
Lilley has had loan spell with Leigh Centurions and played on dual registration with Featherstone Rovers this year as well as featuring for Leeds Rhinos.
Leeds Rhinos Director of Rugby Kevin Sinfield said, “Jordan and his development is at the forefront of this decision. We feel he needs to go and run a team for a period of time and this move gives him that certainty as well as allowing him to get more games under his belt on a regular basis.”
Bradford Bulls Head coach John Kear is delighted to have captured the talented half-back/hooker: “This signing is a further statement of intent from the Bulls in adding quality players to an already strong squad.
“I look forward to working with Jordan and harnessing his ability, skills, and enthusiasm for the good of the team”
Chairman, Andrew Chalmers spoke of his delight with the Super League talent returning to Odsal: “Jordan is an extremely talented player and he really gelled with the team last year.”
“He’s going to play a crucial role in the side for the rest of the year as we enter the race to achieve promotion.”
