Hall and Delaney return for Rhinos

Leeds Rhinos welcome back Ryan Hall and Brett Delaney to their 19 man squad to travel to Newcastle for the Dacia Magic Weekend clash with Castleford Tigers this Saturday, kick off 7pm.

Leeds Rhinos welcome back Ryan Hall and Brett Delaney to their 19 man squad to travel to Newcastle for the Dacia Magic Weekend clash with Castleford Tigers this Saturday, kick off 7pm.

Hall missed last Friday’s win at Widnes in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup having dislocated his shoulder the previous week in the defeat to Warrington. However, he has recovered in time to be fit for the Grand Final re-match. Brett Delaney has not featured since the win at Hull KR three weeks ago. Youngster Cameron Smith is also added to the squad having played for the Under 19s last week, he replaces Josh Walters in the 19 man squad.

Until 2013, Leeds Rhinos had been the only unbeaten team at the Magic Weekend since the first event in Cardiff in 2007 however the Champions have lost on each of the last five Magic Weekends, on four occasions to Wigan (2013-2016) and last year to Castleford Tigers. The Rhinos are yet to taste success at St James Park but have won in the North East in 1998 against Salford in the ‘On The Road’ fixture and twice in 1999 against Gateshead Thunder, all three games were played at the Gateshead International Stadium.
