This afternoon's game v Salford Red Devils is definitely ON!
This afternoon’s Easter Monday clash with Salford Red Devils has been cleared to go ahead despite an Easter flurry of sleet and snow this morning.
The club’s groundstaff have been monitoring the long range weather satellite images and forecasts and planned accordingly to make sure the pitch is playable. This has included deep spiking the pitch to deal with the 32mm of rain in the last 72 hours with the undersoil heating on for the last 36 hours.
As a precaution the lines have been painted blue in case we have any snowfall during the game although the latest forecast suggest the sleet will turn to rain at lunchtime as temperatures continue to rise.
Turnstiles open at 12.30pm with all the family Fun Day activity taking place undercover under the Cricket East Stand. Cash turnstiles are available on Kirkstall Lane for access to the Western Terrace. Kick off is 3pm.
