Leeds and Melbourne will meet once again in less than two weeks to decide the World Club title in a fourth meeting between the sides in a decade. The first game came in 2008 at Elland Road and is remembered for Scott Donald’s vital try in the rain and wind at Leeds United’s home.
However, it was the cool head of skipper Kevin Sinfield that sealed the day as he kicked his side to victory including slotting over a penalty despite the actions of an idiotic spectator who tried to put him off his aim with a laser pen. It didn’t work and the rest is history.
