Golding marks Jamaica debut with a try
Ashton Golding crossed for a try for Jamaica in 2017
Ashton Golding marked his debut for Jamaica with a second half try as the 17th ranked side in the world gave 6th placed France a battle in Perpignan on Friday night.
The home side led 22-2 at half time before Golding finished off an opportunist passage of play backing up a cross field kick before picking up and racing in at the corner for the Reggae Warriors.

The French eventually won 34-12 before they headed off to the World Cup in Australia where they will be in the same pool as Lebanon, Australia and England.
Jamaica missed out on a spot in the World Cup when they lost in qualifying to Brian McDermott’s USA team 18 months ago.
