Big Headingley Carnegie send off planned for Burrow, McGuire and the North Stand
Leeds Rhinos’ Betfred Super League play-off semi-final at Headingley Carnegie on Friday 29th September, kick off 7.45pm, will be another special experience according to Rhinos Chief Executive Gary Hetherington.
“The celebration of the ‘Last Stand’ last month for the South Stand was an emotional occasion and our play-off semi-final will be another one for our fans to pay tribute to Rob Burrow and Danny McGuire in their last appearance together at Headingley Carnegie and also to say goodbye to the North Stand after 85 years!” Hetherington said.
“Danny and Rob have contributed so much to the team and club over the past two decades and I know our fans will want to say, “I was there” for their last game together on the Headingley Carnegie pitch.”
The stadium will have a 12,500 capacity following the demolition of the South Stand and a TV gantry in the North Stand and this will include 3,000 tickets reserved for the opposition club.
