Legends Origin game matchday information
The Yorkshire v Lancashire legends match takes place at Headingley Carnegie Stadium tomorrow, kick off 7pm.
The Rugby League War of the Roses sees Jamie Peacock captain the Yorkshire side, and Adrian Morley skipper the Lancashire team, as two star-studded teams from yesteryear come together for this great occasion. The White Rose County are coached by Ryan Hall, with the team featuring household names such as Keith Senior, Kylie Leuluai and Robbie Hunter-Paul. Sam Tomkins will coach the Lancashire side which includes the likes of Barrie McDermott, Martin Gleeson, Paul Wellens, Sean Long, Iestyn Harris and Gary Connolly.
The match is sponsored by kbins and is being run in conjunction with Rugby AM and Rugby League Cares Legends. Proceeds from the match will go to the Ryan Hall Testimonial Fund.
Turnstiles open at 5pm and tickets are still available to purchase– here’s all the information you need before attending.
How Much Are Match Tickets?
The Main Stand and Paddock will be open for unreserved seating (with the exception of blocks D & E in the centre section), and the Carnegie Terrace is also open for standing positions. Tickets prices are:
Call the Ticket Office to book on 0371 423 1315, buy in person at the Club Shop at the stadium, or book online 24 hours a day at tickets.therhinos.co.uk.
You can also pay cash on the day at the turnstile on St Michael’s Lane (by Entrance B). The turnstiles open at 5pm.
Do I Need To Collect My Tickets?
If you need to collect your tickets on Wednesday please head to the official collections point in the Ticket Office on St Michael’s Lane (entrance is street side). The stadium is located in a residential area so please respect our local residents and ensure you do not hinder their access to and from their property.
Around The Ground
Collect your team sheet on arrival from the Ticket Office, Club Shop, Carnegie Café Bar or the Sports Bar.
The Club Shop will be open for fans wanting to purchase any Rhinos gear, and OddBalls will be joining us with a trailer of retail goodies outside the Headingley Lodge. There is also a Bird of Prey station outside the Café Bar for fans to enjoy.
There will be a Rugby League junior festival taking place on the pitch from 5.30pm, and junior teams will be playing at half time too.
The Spencer Properties Dance Team will be entertaining fans with performances on the pitch, as well as the Featherstone Rovers Junior Dance Team pre match, and the Rhinestones Dancers at half time.
All fans are invited to join Rhinos first team players in the Arla Challenge, pre-match in the Carnegie Café Bar from 5.30pm.
Hosted by Arla Protein, the challenge will be testing fans to see if anyone has the makings of a Rhino. Fans can take on Josh Jordan Roberts, Ash Handley, Josh Walters, Jordan Baldwinson and Jack Ormondroyd in up to 5 different exercises including press ups, sit ups, burpees, squats and planks, to see whether their core strength matches up to the players!
At The Final Whistle
The winners presentation will take place on the pitch after the final whistle, followed by the Man of the Match presentation and interviews with the coaches in the Carnegie Café Bar – open for all fans.
Following the player presentations, the teams will be heading to The Arc in Headingley (Ash Road, LS6 3JJ) for the official after party which fans are welcome to attend as well – over 18s only.
Where Can I Purchase Food & Drinks?
Food and drinks will be available to buy from all concession vans situated around the stadium and also in the Carnegie Café Bar (under the Carnegie Stand). You can also purchase drinks in the Sports Bar behind the Main Stand.
Car Parking is available on match day in Car Park F on St Michael’s Lane, priced £5 per car and spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. Please note parking is cash only – all money goes to Ryan Hall’s Testimonial fund.
