Morley appointment receives warm welcome

Leeds Rhinos players past and present have welcomed the return of Adrian Morley to the club following the announcement that the Great Britain legend is to join the club’s coaching staff as Academy Head Coach.
Morley who enjoyed a successful career with Leeds, Sydney Roosters and Warrington before retiring in at his home town club of Salford, is to return to Headingley Carnegie as part of Brian McDermott’s backroom team.
The appointment was greeted by current Rhinos Rob Burrow, Danny McGuire and Brett Ferres, all of whom had grown up watching Morley.

Finally England captain Sam Burgess tweeted from Sydney to explain how much Morley had inspired him as a youngster to take up the game, which bodes well for Morley’s new role at the Rhinos.
