The Dacia Magic Weekend is now just over six weeks away as the Super League family heads to Newcastle and here are some details about how you can be there.

Official Leeds Rhinos coach travel

Travel is available as follows for Magic Weekend: 
· Same day return on both days, to watch all 6 games is only £35 per person!
· For all three on the Saturday only, including the Leeds Rhinos v Wigan Warriors match, same day return is priced at £20.
NB The season ticket holder travel vouchers are not valid for this event.
Coaches will depart from the Kirkstall Training Ground (due to England Cricket 5 day Test against Sri Lanka) on the Saturday at 10am and on the Sunday at 9.30am. On both days coaches will leave Newcastle approximately 45 minutes after the final whistle of the last match.

Parking is available in the St James’ Park car parks on a pre-pay basis only. To purchase a pass please contact NUFC on 0191 201 8558. Please note parking is limited, however there are number of public car parks signposted clearly within Newcastle city centre, though be warned – they are likely to be extremely busy during Dacia Magic Weekend! 

Accessible parking (for blue badge holders) is available to purchase direct from NUFC – advance application only. To apply for a pass please call 0191 201 8634. 


Newcastle Central Station is approximately a 10-minute walk from St. James’ Park, with clear sign posts throughout the city to make sure you don’t get lost on the way. 

Situated on the East Coast Mainline, Newcastle station offers direct cross-country routes to and from York, Leeds, Huddersfield, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Bristol. 

Getting Around Newcastle 

The Metro links Newcastle Gateshead with the rest of Tyne and Wear the North East and has been rated as one of the UK's most efficient rapid transport systems. The St James Metro Stop brings fans directly to the Stadium from areas all over the North East.

Metro Stations are situated in the heart of Newcastle city centre, Gateshead town centre, Jesmond, the Coast/Whitley Bay and even in Sunderland. St James Park is accessible from all these areas with most journeys lasting less than 20 minutes. 

Tickets for the Metro are purchased via ticket machines at each Metro station, so have some change ready.  

If you're planning on making a few journeys, look out for a Metro Day Saver which gives all day unlimited Metro travel.
