Ablett humbled by support at his testimonial event
Carl Ablett thanked fans for their support following his latest testimonial event and confirmed that he would miss the Dacia World Club Challenge through injury.
Ablett was joined at Headingley Carnegie Stadium by his team mates along with stars from the North Queensland Cowboys, who the Rhinos are set to face this Sunday. The night was hosted by Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Alex Simmons and they got the crowd and players involved in various Australian and British themed games, which involved challenging Adam Cuthbertson and the Cowboys’ Ben Hannant showing off their skills at playing the didgeridoo and Brett Delaney and Ethan Lowe seeing who could make the best cup of tea!
The second rower, who went off with an injury in the game against Widnes last week, confirmed he has been ruled out of Dacia World Club Challenge but said he would do all he could to help those who take to the field on Sunday do the best job they can.
