Rhinos players lend a hand at Leeds Rhinos Foundation Easter camps

The first week of the Easter school holidays has seen hundreds of children take part in Leeds Rhinos Foundation’s Rugby, Dance and Activity camps.

The Easter Camps, which are supported by CDI Solutions, have taken place at Stanningley ARLFC and Ralph Thoresby and each camp has had a visit from Leeds Rhinos first team players who helped out with the coaching.

On Tuesday attendees on the Rugby Camp and Dance Camp at Stanningley got to meet Rhinos stars including: Zak Hardaker, Paul Aiton, Stevie Ward, Andy Yates, Adam Cuthbertson, Liam Sutcliffe, Robbie Ward and Brad Singleton.  The players were able to give a helping hand to the Leeds Rhinos Foundation coaching staff, offer some playing tips and take part in a Q&A session. The week ended with a Dance Camp and an Activity Camp at Ralph Thoresby School which were attended by Jimmy Keinhorst and Josh Walters who got involved with the range of activities that included Kwick Cricket and bench ball.

All children who attended the camp received a Leeds Rhinos camp T-shirt and gym bag which they had signed personally by the players who posed for photographs to give the attendees some fond memories of the Easter camp experience.

Next week will see three more camps taking place and it’s not too late to book a place for your child. On Monday 13th to Tuesday 14th April there will be a Dance Camp and Activity Camp at Woodkirk Academy and this will have visits from first team players including Zak Hardaker, Liam Sutcliffe, Mitch Achurch, Robbie Mulhern, Brad Singleton and Stevie Ward.  On Thursday 16th to Friday 17th April there will be a Rugby Camp at North Leeds Leopard which will be visited by Paul Aiton, Adam Cuthberston, Brett Delaney, Ash Handley, Josh Walters, Robbie Ward and Andy Yates.

The two day camps cost £30 and can be booked over the phone on 0871 423 13 15 (calls cost 10p per minute and mobile rates vary) or online by clicking here.
