President calls in as surprise birthday guest for veteran fan

Leeds fan Alec Morris has been supporting Leeds since he was three so when his daughter Debbie asked if there was some way we could make his 80th birthday party extra special we knew just the man to send along, our Club President Harry Jepson OBE.

Although Alec moved down to Devon 15 years ago, he still attends games during the season when he can as well as watching all the other matches on Sky and was at Wembley last August to see us lift the Challenge Cup for the eighth time in his 77 years supporting the club.
Such is his love for the club that his family knew exactly where to host a surprise birthday tea when they booked the Taverners Suite for the special occasion; Debbie describing Headingley as her dad’s favourite place in the world.

Chief Executive Gary Hetherington made sure that Harry came along to pass on the club's gratitude, Gary said, "It is great to hear from our longstanding fans and it was a fantastic opportunity for Harry and Alec to have a chat about their favourite memories down the years. On behalf of everyone at the club, we would like to wish Alec a very happy birthday."
