Delaney joins Hunslet Hawks on dual registration

Hunslet Hawks can confirm that Leeds Rhinos star Brett Delaney has signed dual registration papers with the club and will be available for selection for Sunday’s trip to face the Bradford Bulls.

Brett will train Thursday and Friday with the Hawks squad before a decision is made if Delaney will feature at Odsal on Sunday.

Commenting on the move, Rhinos Head Coach Brian McDermott said, "Brett will be available to Barry Eaton this week. The great thing about the Championship this season is that it is a very competitive environment. Last weekend, Jimmy Keinhorst, Josh Walters and Robbie Mulhern all benefitted from playing in the Hawks win over Dewsbury and I know they made an impact on their Hunslet team mates. Brett had surgery on his knee in the close season and, although he has been given the thumbs up by the medical staff, he has not been able to do as much running as we would have liked in pre-season. We have seen already the intensity of the competition in the Championship and I am sure a trip to Bradford will be as tough as some games in Super League this year."
