Academy set to face Touring Side
On Wednesday 28th September Leeds Rhinos Academy will take on a touring Australian side at Headingley Carnegie, kick off 6pm.
The Australian side is made up of a number of representative players from Sydney NRL Clubs and are coached by former Leeds player Harvey Howard.
Speaking ahead of the game Rhinos U18’s coach Chris Plume said, “This game will be really important to the development of our squad and will be a fantastic opportunity for our players to test themselves against Australian opposition. The U18’s finished their domestic season really well with a win over Wakefield and I know the team will be hoping to end the year on a high with a good performance in what will be their final fixture of the season.”
The Rhinos squad includes U18 Academy Player of the Year, Alex Foster and Stevie Ward, who will make his comeback from an ankle injury in the game. The match is free to attend so make sure you come along to support the next generation of Rhinos stars.
