Ambler pleased with Capital progress

Young Leeds Rhinos prop Luke Ambler says he has benefitted from his time on loan at Harlequins this season and now hopes to press his claims for a return to the Rhinos squad next season.

Ambler spend the entire 2011 season at Quins and played in both wins over his parent club. However, they were rare highlights on the field in what was a difficult season for the London club. However, Ambler believes the adversity he faced has helped forge him into a better player.

He told Rhinos TV, "I really enjoyed the experience. It was the first time I was away from home and I had to learn to do things for myself pretty quickly. On the field, we started like a house on fire but it got tough towards the end. However, you learn alot about yourself and your inner resolve in those heavy defeats and you have to find the desire to go again."
