Harrison's Harriers claim the honours in Rhinos Corporate Sevens

The annual Rhinos Corporate Touch and Pass took place at Headingley Carnegie Stadium on Monday, with all proceeds this year going to Rob Burrow’s Testimonial.

Eight teams took part in the tournament, including Arc Inspirations, Show Me The Money, Chadwick Lawrence, ISC, O’Hara’s, Caddick, Dynamic Business Solutions and Carlsberg.

Before the teams took to the field they selected members of the Rhinos team to play alongside them and there was even a touch of Hollywood to the day with Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis, who plays Neville Longbottom in the movies, playing in the Carlsberg team.

Each game was refereed by a member of the Rhinos coaching staff and after a competitive afternoon it was the team from Show Me The Money, Harrison’s Harriers, who triumphed.  Their team included Craig Harrison, Joe Harrison, Ben Potts, Harry Leeks and Shane Miller as well as Rhinos stars Ben Jones-Bishop, Jay Pitts and Weller Hauraki.

There had been big hopes for the team from O’Hara’s after they made some big money transfer signings before kick off with Danny McGuire and Liam Hood both joining their team, but for the fourth year running they were left with the wooden spoon prize.

Speaking about the event Rob Burrow said, “I would like to thank all the teams who took part in the Corporate Sevens.  It was a fantastic day and I am very grateful for everyone who took the time out to support my testimonial.  There was some impressive performances out there but I think there should be a special mention for Matthew Lewis who weaved some of his magic on the field!”
