Vote for the greatest number eight prop of all time

Now you can vote for who you think should be included in the greatest ever Leeds team of all time with our special online poll.

The redevelopment of the South Stand offers a unique opportunity to link the past with the present. As part of the plan, the club will institute a permanent display commemorating their greatest ever side made up from across the eras.

The task of selecting the ultimate warriors begins through the pages of this season’s Blue and Amber match magazine and will also involve website voting and nomination from the fans, allowing a heritage panel to award the final mythical jerseys.

Every home game, club President Harry Jepson OBE will profile his top exponents in each position across the eras, for the Harlequins Carnegie Challenge Cup game he moved onto the number eight shirt and his personal selection was Joe Thompson.

Click here to find all the props who predominantly wore number eight or played on that side of the pack and who have made 100 appearances, and are therefore eligible for selection. Select yours and help play your part in the final selection.

We would like to apologise to supporters who have been waiting to cast their vote for this poll, unfortunately due to the recent run of four home games and the 50th anniversary celebrations last week, we are lagging slightly behind with the polls. You have until midday this Friday to cast your vote for the number eight shirt and from Saturday voting will open for the hooking spot.
