Peacock ready for French test

England captain Jamie Peacock has welcomed the resurgence of Catalan Dragons this season under new coach Trent Robinson and says that the Rhinos will face a tough test on Friday night at Headingley Carnegie.

The two teams are level on points in the Engage Super League table with the Rhinos only ahead by a points difference of 49. The Dragons finished bottom of the table last season but the arrival of former Toulouse boss Robinson has boosted them this term having secured wins at Wigan and Warrington already this year.

Peacock commented, "I think it is important for Super League that we have a strong Catalan team in the competition. They are a much better side this year under Trent Robinson. He is an excellent coach and he has them playing a good brand of rugby. They will be very tough this Friday, especially up front, and defensively they are a hard team to break down. I enjoy playing against French teams, either for Leeds or England, and if our games is going to grow we need more and more players coming through over there."
