More fundraising efforts for flood & earthquake victims

Following the success of the fundraising dinner at Headingley Carnegie Stadium in March, which raised over £7,000 for the New Zealand earthquake and the Australian flood victims, the organizers have announced that, due to demand, there will be a second event.

The Grattan Stadium, Odsal will host the ISC BBQ on Sunday 3rd July following the Bradford Bulls versus Catalan Dragons super league clash.

Included on the day will be a huge bbq, hog roast, bouncy castle, ball pool, bucking bronco, dunking stall where sporting personalities will risk the wrath of supporters, memorabilia stands, live band and dj, Australian beer tent and other activities where fans can win unique rugby league merchandise.

There are also plans for a touch rugby tournament on the pitch where teams will have access to super league players for their side. Anyone wanting to enter a team can do so by contacting Ricky Wilby on 07598 564996.

Australian sporting wear company ISC have got behind the cause and donated printed t-shirts for the day that supporters will be able to win and have signed by their favourite players.

Tickets, which will be on sale from the Bulls’ ticket office from Monday 23rd May are priced at £10 for adults and £5 children or a family ticket of £25 for two adults and two children. Included in the price will be a burger/hot-dog, a beer/soft drink and entry to a raffle to win a signed Exiles jersey.

Newly named Exiles captain, Danny Buderus is behind the fund raising, "The first event was fantastic and got a lot of people talking and, more importantly, donating. It’s a great idea to have a day like this that all the family can join in with and centred around a match.”

Buderus continued, "It was great to see so many Australian and New Zealand players involved last time and I hope we can have a similar turn out for two such great causes. It was terrific to catch up with the guys we don't always get time to socialise with, I can’t wait."
