Carnegie Challenge Cup draw gets Hollywood touch

Hollywood will come to Halifax on Sunday when The Shay hosts the draw for the fifth round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup.

The draw, featuring the 16 winners of this weekend’s fourth round matches, will take place live on BBC2 on Sunday afternoon around 5.00pm following the completion of the televised tie between Halifax and Bradford Bulls.

Two stars of the silver screen, Matthew Lewis and Adam Fogerty, will determine who plays who on the next step along the road that eventually leads to Wembley Stadium and the historic 2011 Carnegie Challenge Cup final on Saturday August 27.

Leeds-born Matthew Lewis has played young wizard Neville Longbottom in the hugely successful Harry Potter series of films and is poised to have a starring role in the final chapter, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. He is currently appearing as Lester Cole on tour in the Agatha Christie play Verdict.

Former Halifax, Warrington and St Helens player Adam Fogerty has forged a successful acting career since the early 1990s. Adam has appeared alongside Hollywood A-lister Brad Pitt in the film Snatch while his other movie credits include Brassed Off, Purely Belter and Shooting Fish. He has also had TV roles in Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Casualty and Emmerdale.
