Carnegie Sporting Words Festival comes to stadium

Headingley Carnegie Stadium will host a unique event at the start of next month with the Carnegie Sporting Words Festival being based at the stadiumon 13-14 November .

With only two weeks to go until the Carnegie Sporting Words Festival descends upon Headingley Carnegie Stadium the excitement is building fast with the addition of yet more stellar names from the sporting world to the programme.

Tickets are still available for all events including ‘Geoff Hurst and the Hand of God’, sponsored by Yorkshire Radio, in which controversial world-class referee Graham Poll puts the football world to rights with the help of Mick Dennis and the all-star line up of ‘Harry Gration’s Sporting Heroes’ which sees the man himself in conversation with cricketer Darren Gough, rugby star Ellery Hanley and Leeds Utd legend Norman Hunter. All star additions to Festival line-up

As the countdown begins to this year’s Carnegie Sporting Words Festival, organisers are continuing to unveil some all-star additions to the already stellar line up, including former England Cricket Captain Michael Vaughan.

The former England Cricket star will be joining Colin Murray, Martin Kelner, Des Kelly and Ian Stone on the panel of BBC Radio 5Live’s ‘Fighting Talk’ which is broadcasting from the Festival on Saturday 14th November, from 10.30am to 12.00pm.

Other heavyweight additions include some home grown talent when ‘Match of My Life’, at 3.30-4.30pm on Saturday 14th November, sees Super League champions and Leeds Rhino stars Roy Dickinson and Keith Senior join Phil Caplan for a unique insight into the highs of playing for a winning team. The rugby heroes will be reliving the trials and tribulations of life in the sporting fast lane.
