Advice for fans regarding postal strike
Customers please be aware that the deliveries from the club ticket sales office and club shop may be delayed due to the planned industrial action by Royal Mail workers who are a member of the CWU.
In the event the planned strikes do take place, mail services on Thursday and Friday will be very limited and as a consequence, a delay to the collection, sorting, distribution and delivery of mail will be inevitable.
We are also aware that some supporters have been experiencing problems when they have chosen the Royal Mail option when purchasing goods from the club shop. We currently offer two delivery options; UK Mail, next day delivery and Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Delivery. Both require a signature on delivery.
The price for Recorded Delivery is calculated on the item weight – the price for most parcels ordered is £3.50 (items of clothing etc). For smaller items such as programmes, mouse mats etc it would be £1.75.
These orders are likely to be disrupted by the strike however some fans have already reported issues with this service. If you are not in, the postman will leave a card through your door informing you to come to the sorting office to sign for your parcel. Occasionally, these cards are lost at customers houses and the belief is that the parcel has not been sent by us.
We also offer UK Mail Express. This is £6.50 and is the Business Post next day delivery service that we use. This should be unaffected by the postal strike.
