McClennan gives support to Celtic

Brian McClennan has given his support to Celtic Crusaders after watching his side beat the Welsh team 68-0 at Newport.

The Crusaders had six players deported in midweek for visa irregularities but announced a new partnership with Newport Gwent Dragons to use Rodney Parade for the next two years.

Speaking after the game McClennan said, "We want Celtic to be a success. Wales is important to Rugby League and the development of our game down here. As a club we do feel for sorry for them and the problems they have had this week.

"But I am sure they will be stronger for their experiences this season and they will put that to good use during the winter and come back even stronger next season," added McClennan.
