McClennan excited by title run in

Brian McClennan has admitted that the race for the top spot in the engage Super League is one that has excited the whole Rhinos camp ahead of this Satruday’s trip to Celtic Crusaders.

The Rhinos drew level with St Helens at the weekend after they lost at Hull KR and the Champions cut the points difference between the two teams with a massive win over Castleford at Headingley Carnegie.

This weekend the Rhinos travel to Newport to take on bottom-placed Celtic Crusaders who will be without six players who are due to be deported for visa irregularities whilst St Helens face Huddersfield at Knowsley Road with Giants coach Nathan Brown stating that he will field a weakened side ahead of next weeks Carnegie Challenge Cup Final at Wembley.

That could mean the destination of the League Leaders Shield could be decided at Headingley Carnegie on Friday 4th September when St Helens arrive to take on the Champions.
