Diskin looking forward to challenge

Leeds Rhinos hooker Matt Diskin is looking forward to the challenge of taking on Warrington Wolves at Headingley Carnegie on Saturday evening, kick off 6.30pm.

With injuries to Danny Buderus and Paul McShane, Diskin is the only specialist hooker in the first team squad however he admits the pressure is nothing new for him. Ahead of the game he told Rhinos TV exclusively that he enjoys the challenge, “It is something that I have been doing for a couple of years now so the workload isn’t something that is new to me. I will get some more game time and I am looking forward to the challenges that brings.

“Warrington have been playing Michael Monaghan at hooker recently but they might have Jon Clarke back so whoever it is, you always set yourself a personal goal of performing better than your opposite number, and I will be trying to do that,” added Diskin.
