Former Leeds star Richard Mathers has been cleared to face the Rhinos this Friday for Wigan after escaping a ban following his sending off last week. Mathers, who left Leeds in 2006 to join Australian outfit Gold Coast Titans, was sent off for striking with his forearm against Wakefield but the committee deemed the sending off as sufficient punishment. Meanwhile, Scott Moore has played his last match for Castleford after being banned for two games by the Rugby Football League. The hooker, on loan from St Helens, was also fined £300 for striking Leeds captain Kevin Sinfield with his forearm during last week’s loss at Headingley Carnegie.
