Rhinos players Brent Webb and Eric Anselme have both received a call up to represent their country in this year’s Rugby League World Cup. Webb made his debut for New Zealand in 2004 and has gone onto represent the Kiwis 17 times. He won the Tri Nations with the team in 2005 and this year was part of the New Zealand side who played Australia in the Centenary game at Sydney Cricket Ground. Anselme, who joined the Rhinos on loan this season from French club Albi, has 27 caps for his country. He made his first international appearance for France in 2000 and was part of the French side who played Great Britain in the 2007 Frontline Test, when he was a try scorer for his side in their 42-14 defeat at Headingley Carnegie Stadium. He played once again for France against England in this year’s Test match in Toulouse.
