On the eve of the new Super League campaign the Rhinos legendary mascot Ronnie the Rhino will be greeting his adoring public at the Ice Cube in Millennium square. Ronnie will join the ice skaters on Friday 1st February as he prepares for the big day on Saturday, when the Rhinos begin their Super League season and their defence of the title with a local derby game against Hull KR. Fans will be able to get their picture taken with Ronnie and the Super League trophy if they head down to the outdoor ice rink from 4pm. Ice Cube is one of Europe’s biggest outdoor skating rinks and is one of the city’s biggest attractions in the winter months. General admission to the ice rink is usually £8 but there is also an added incentive for Rhinos fans to visit the rink on Friday, because not only will they meet Ronnie but if they wear their Rhinos shirt to the ice rink they can skate for just £5.
