This February half term the Rhinos’ young female supporters are being given the chance to train and perform with the Aire Dance Team

Budding young dancers are being given a unique opportunity to train and perform with the Leeds Rhinos official Radio Aire Dance Team as part of a fantastic new Dance Camp taking place this February half term. Following on from last year’s highly successful girls only summer rugby camp, Leeds Rhinos are now launching a Dance Camp aimed at the club’s young female supporters aged between 8 and 14, which will be delivered by the Official Leeds Rhinos Radio Aire Dance Team. All the girls who attend the camp will receive three full days of expert dance tuition given by fully qualified dance teachers and will learn a choreographed routine, which they will then perform in front of a packed out Headingley Carnegie Stadium at the engage Super League game between Leeds Rhinos and Catalans Dragons on 22nd February. Commenting on this new initiative Women and Girls Rugby Development Officer, Laura Clark said, "We were really pleased with the success of our girls’ only camps last summer and this year we wanted to follow it up with something that would really appeal to our young female supporters. The camp will give girls the opportunity to show their support for the Rhinos in a unique way and they will be rewarded with the chance to dance on the famous Headingley Carnegie turf. From the feedback we have received from our previous camps it is clear that the girls really enjoy themselves and it is a great way to make new friends and build confidence whilst spending their half term holidays being active." The camp will run from Monday 11th February to Wednesday 13th February, between 10am and 3pm at Intake High School Arts College, Calverley Lane, Bramley, LS13 1AH and will cost £55.
