RHINOS TRAINING CAMP – SATURDAY EDITION

The Rhinos warm weather training camp took a wet turn on Saturday.

The Rhinos warm weather training camp took a wet turn on Saturday. The players woke to a heavy rain storm on Saturday morning but the temperature was warmer than Friday. However, there was little time to worry about the weather as the entire squad headed off to a gym just five minutes around the corner from the team hotel. The gym session saw the forwards and backs split into groups and doing CV work on the treadmill, bike and cross trainer plus a weights session. Having had two light sessions on Friday to get over the journey, training stepped up a gear now and the players were working extremely hard in the gym. The afternoon saw the squad head back up the University of North Florida for a training session on the main pitch. This was also the first time that the Rhinos met their counterparts from South Sydney Rabbitohs, who trained after Leeds on the pitch. The training group was completed on Saturday evening when Head Conditioner Jason Davidson arrived in Jacksonville. Davidson became a father last week for the first time and was given compassionate leave before joining up with the team on Saturday.
