The Rhinos have headed off to America for their warm weather training camp in Jacksonville in Florida.
The Rhinos have headed off to America for their warm weather training camp in Jacksonville in Florida. The squad departing from Manchester this morning ahead of their 10 day training camp which will culminate with the Australia Day Challenge against South Sydney Rabbitohs on Saturday 26th January at the University of North Florida. The 24 man squad included second row Carl Ablett who over came a hamstring injury however prop Ryan Bailey was unable to travel after failing to overcome a groin strain he suffered in Sunday’s win over Oldham. Commenting on the news Head Coach Brian McClennan said, "Everyone is in great spirit for the trip but it is disappointing that Ryan has not come through in time. Our priority is to have him available for the opening game of the season against Hull KR and that has meant leaving him at home to continue his recovery. We are hoping he will be fit for the opening game but we will have to see how the injury responds to treatment."
