CAN YOU HELP LOCAL YOUNGSTERS?

A local amateur rugby league club is asking Rhinos fans if they can help raise funds for a new junior changing pavilion.

A local amateur rugby league club is asking Rhinos fans if they can help raise funds for a new junior changing pavilion. Dewsbury Celtic, who are coached by Rhinos star Matt Diskin, have a number of items that they are hoping to receive bids for or that fans may be willing to raffle to raise funds for the club. Amateur clubs are a vital part of the future success of not just the Rhinos but British rugby league on the international stage, so this is a fantastic cause. The items available include a ball signed by the entire 2007 Grand Final winning Rhinos squad along with coach Tony Smith plus a ball signed by the successful Great Britain from 2007. There is also a ball signed by the New Zealand All Golds, the squad who were only together for the one off game against the Northern Union to celebrate 100 years of international rugby league. The ball includes the signature of the legendary Stacey Jones, for whom this was his final appearance at the end of a distinguished career. Desbury Celtic are fundraising for a new junior changing pavilion and need to come up with £150,000 towards the £350,000 needed to build it. If you would like to make a bid for any of the items or would be able to run a raffle on behalf of Dewsbury Celtic please call Paul Halloran on 07972525332.
