In this weeks edition of Headingley Insight Tony Smith looks ahead to the Rhinos game at St Helens this Friday in the Tetley’s Super League, kick off 8pm. IS THERE AN ELEMENT OF REVENGE IN THIS GAME AFTER THE EXIT THERE IN THE CHALLENGE CUP EARLIER IN THE SEASON? Definitely, we were disappointed that day with the account we gave of ourselves and we will be looking to correct what we did wrong that day on Friday. We know a win on Friday will not get us back into the Cup and Saints thoroughly deserve to be going to Cardiff but we will go to Knowsley Road knowing that we could and should have done better on our last visit. We will go there a determined and aggressive team knowing we will need to put in a top class performance to get something out of the game. HOW HIGHLY DO YOU RATE ST HELENS? They have got a lot of good players right across the field but we are concerning ourselves with their plays rather than individual players, especially their decoy runners and the lines they run. We got caught out by them in the Cup game and we have to be smarter on Friday night. We have to react to what is going on in front of us and continue to work hard defensively as a team, as we have done for the past couple of weeks. They proved last week in the Cup that if you give them a chance they can score tries for fun and we have to make sure we do not give them those sort of opportunities. DO YOU HAVE ANY INJURY CONCERNS? Matt Diskin is still a major doubt although he is getting better with everyday that passes. We will give him until the last possible moment to prove his fitness otherwise we will look at other options at hooker. Because we have rotated the players quite a bit this season Rob Burrow, Willie Poching and Andrew Dunemann have all had some game time at hooker so it will not come as too much of a shock to them to fit in there. Matt is confident he will be okay but we will have to look at it from a team point of view and whether he is 100% right before we make a decision on him. Matt Adamson will have a fitness test on his shoulder but he is likely to be back in contention, likewise Gary Connolly.
