Leeds Rhinos will be on a revenge mission when they visit Powergen Challenge Cup finalists St Helens on Friday, coach Tony Smith admitted today. Rhinos’ only defeat of the season so far came at Knowsley Road last month, when Saints ended their Challenge Cup hopes. Smith’s men will put their 100 per cent Tetley’s Super League record on the line on Friday night and the coach told the YEP they are desperate to prove they are a better side than they showed last time. "We have got a very determined and vengeful set of players," said Smith. "We know beating Saints on Friday won’t put us back in the Cup, but we were highly disappointed with the outcome last time and we are looking forward to going back to their ground and trying to even the record up." Smith added: "There were some aspects of our game we weren’t happy with when we played Saints last time. "They have got a lot of good players, but it is the plays they are going to throw at us we are more concerned about. "We did not handle a couple of them, particularly their dummy runners. There was a try before half-time which really cost us, but we will be better prepared this time for all their plays. "We will be determined and aggressive."
