Ruan joins Doncaster on loan

Leeds Rhinos forward Leon Ruan has joined Betfred Championship side Doncaster on a one month loan. 

Ruan, who joined the Rhinos from Doncaster two years ago, has featured in Super League for the Rhinos this season and will get the chance to build up his game time with the South Yorkshire club. 

Leeds Rhinos Head Coach Rohan Smith commented, "Leon has played some good spells for us in Super League this season. We feel the timing is good for him to get some tough hit outs in the Championship with Doncaster playing Sheffield, Wakefield and Featherstone in the coming weeks. 

"Doncaster is a club he knows well and he enjoyed his time there earlier in his career. He will continue to work with our coaching staff whilst on loan and I am sure he will benefit from the loan period," added Smith. 

Tom Nicholson-Watton will return to York Knights this week having played for the Rhinos Reserves last weekend when York did not have a game. 

This weekend, the first of the Rhinos players to join Halifax as part of the club's dual registration agreement will be available for Championship club for their game against Bradford Bulls on Good Friday.
