New signing Richie Myler will become only the fourth player in the Super League era to be awarded the number seven squad number at Leeds Rhinos after the Champions revealed their 2018 squad list.

The former Salford, Warrington and Catalans half back will take over from the retired Rob Burrow, who has held the shirt since 2003. Ryan Sheridan previously wore the shirt from 1997 until 2002 whilst Graham Holroyd was the first player to hold the squad number in 1996.

New signing Richie Myler said, “It is a huge honour for me to be awarded the number seven shirt, especially given the history it has at Leeds. It was great watching the lads finish the season so well and win the Grand Final. That has really whetted my appetite to get started with the Rhinos and I can’t wait to get into pre-season training with the boys.”
