Leeds fighter Josh Warrington is hoping Leeds Rhinos fans will be out in force on Saturday night as he aims to take the final step towards a World title shot at the First Direct Arena with Rhinos skipper Danny McGuire part of his team when he walks into the ring.

Warrington will take on Danish fighter Dennis Ceylan in a mandated Final Eliminator for the IBF Featherweight World title at the first direct Arena in Leeds on Saturday 21st October. And the Leeds fighter believes the home crowd could make a massive difference to his chances of booking a world title shot. He told us, “It is great when you come here on a Friday night to watch the Rhinos, you know the home crowd has such an impact on the Rhinos boys and it does intimidate the opposition. I hope it will be like that on Saturday night. It was great to be at Elland Road on Saturday to see the reception the Rhinos boys got at half time. There is a special feeling between all the sports here in the city whether that is rugby, football, boxing or the success that the Brownlee brothers have brought to the city and it will be special on Saturday night to feel that in the arena.”
