Match day reporters needed

Leeds Rhinos are currently recruiting for match day reporters to cover game days for the club’s Women’s, Reserves, Scholarship and Netball teams.

The role would involve providing a full match report following a game, live Twitter commentary and post-match interviews.

The Scholarship and Reserves will play the majority of their home games at Stanningley on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with some games played as curtain raisers at Headingley before the men’s Super League games.  All Women’s Super League games will be played at Headingley and Cup games at Sports Park Weetwood.

The club are also looking for commentators to provide commentary alongside a guest summariser for home Women’s, Scholarship and Reserves games.  Alongside commentary the role would also involve interviewing players and coaches post-match.

Leeds Rhinos Netball will play their home games in Sheffield, Hull and the first direct Arena in Leeds.

Candidates must be aged 18+ and willing to work evening and weekends. This is an ideal opportunity for Sports journalism students looking to get experience working for a professional sports club, with training and support given.

If you are interested in the role, please email [email protected] with a covering letter explaining why you would be suitable, along with any examples of work.

The role is voluntary but travel would be provided or expenses covered for travel.
