After claiming the League Leaders’ Shield last week against York City Knights, Leeds Rhinos Women will start their assault on the Grand Final against rivals Castleford Tigers this Sunday 7th October, kick off 1pm.

This will be the fourth time the teams have met this season with the Rhinos claiming victory each game, notably the 20-14 Challenge Cup final victory. Leeds have made Weetwood a fortress this season, with their only home defeat coming when they played at John Charles against Wigan.

Their opponents Castleford, who finished fourth in the league, will be looking to make it to their debut Grand Final. Starring two Woman of Steel nominees in Tara-Jane Stanley and 17-year-old Georgia Roche, as well as five England call ups, the Tigers impose a threat to Leeds’ chances of claiming all three trophies.

Oulton Raidettes v Stanningley Girls U12s will be a curtain raiser to the game at Weetwood Hall, with kick off at 11:30am as well.

The inclusion of Charlotte Booth at centre is the only change to the side that secured the League Leaders’ Shield, with Chloe Kerrigan dropping to the bench. Manina Spurr and Megan Price have also been included in Adam Cuthbertson’s 20 player squad after missing last week’s match.
