Singleton set to lead Rhinos at Halifax

Brad Singleton will captain Leeds Rhinos as they travel to Halifax this Sunday in the penultimate game in this season’s Betfred Super League Qualifiers competition, kick off 3pm.

Brad Singleton will captain Leeds Rhinos as they travel to Halifax this Sunday in the penultimate game in this season’s Betfred Super League Qualifiers competition, kick off 3pm.

The game will be the first meeting between Leeds and Halifax since 18th July 2003 when Leeds won 54-6 at Emerald Headingley. Jamie Jones-Buchanan, who scored in that game, is the only play still at the Rhinos from that last meeting. Assistant coaches Chev Walker and Rob Burrow both scored in the match whilst Director of Rugby Kevin Sinfield kicked six goals.

The Rhinos are without Brett Ferres as he serves a one game suspension with Anthony Mullally also coming into the 19 man squad for Mikolaj Oledzki, who is in action for the Under 19s on Friday night at St Helens in their Grand Final semi final.  Ashton Golding also comes into the squad from the side that defeated Salford Red Devils last Friday.
