Job Description

Retail Store Colleague

Job Title:                           Retail Store Colleague (Full and Part times roles – details below)
Responsible To:             Retail Store Manager

Role Overview           

Responsible for maximising all sales opportunities by providing an exceptional customer experience to customers visiting the store.  This will be achieved through the application of expert product knowledge, engaging with the customer and by the creation of a positive and welcoming environment.  Also responsible for the delivery of excellent operational standards ensuring loss is minimised and tasks are efficiently and effectively executed.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Commercial & Sales

  • Deliver exceptional customer service through expert product knowledge, customer interaction and excellent visual merchandising standards.
  • Welcome and greet customers to identify their needs and provide recommendations.
  • Use customer feedback and sales reports to assist with making commercial decisions when considering best and slow-selling products, stock availability and instore product positioning.
  • Develop own awareness of industry activity and local market conditions.
  • Participate in ongoing sales training to develop skills in up-selling and cross-selling to the customer.
  • Use the lost sale process to record and communicate lost sales intelligence.
  • Work within the constraints of the stores budget. 

People & Communication

  • Ensure personal appearance and behaviour reflects the culture and values of both ISC and Leeds Rhinos.
  • Contribute to the performance management process using company procedures, processes and tools including participating in regular performance development reviews and ongoing feedback sessions.
  • Assist with the delivery of training and induction programmes for new team members.
  • Respond to queries using the telephone, email system and face to face communications.
  • Seek opportunities for ongoing personal development and actively engage with company training opportunities.
  • Attend and contribute to ongoing update communication sessions with ISC colleagues.
  • Participate and contribute to any communications between ISC and Leeds Rhinos.

Visual Merchandising

  • Ensure product layouts, merchandising guidelines and promotions are executed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete the salesfloor checklist process ensuring store standards are at their highest.
  • Ensure relevant POS and lifestyle graphics are utilised and instructions are followed.

Systems & Procedures

  • Adhere to all procedures and systems relating to the security of the store, stock control and the prevention of loss.
  • Effectively prepare for and complete all stocktake and audits.
  • Process inbound and outbound stock deliveries accurately.
  • Complete the stockroom to shopfloor replenishment process effectively.
  • Ensure stockroom procedures are adhered to and housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Complete the product ordering process to a high level of accuracy.
  • Ensure products are priced correctly and appropriate pricing labels/POS are used.
  • Handle customer sales transactions including the taking of cash and card payments.
  • Process customer queries and complaints, aiming for immediate resolution.
  • Complete daily cashing-up and banking procedures.
  • Process customer refunds, exchanges and credit transactions.
  • Sell Leeds Rhinos tickets and complete all other club procedures ensuring accuracy.
  • Process eCommerce store orders and the ‘click and collect’ orders delivered to store for collection.
  • Report building maintenance defects using the appropriate process.
  • Fulfil key-holder responsibilities.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of self, colleagues, customers and any third party accessing the store.

Other

  • Assist with eCommerce orders and customer service processes at the eCommerce central location, if required, on an ad-hoc basis.
  • To carry out any other task within the scope and remit of the role.

Full-Time Sales Colleague

Background

Working for ISC, the official Kit and Retail partner of Leeds Rhinos, you will be the face of Leeds Rhinos.  You will be based in the stadium store at the Emerald Headingley, the home of Leeds Rhinos, Yorkshire Carnegie and Yorkshire Cricket.  `

Position

We are looking for a permanent, flexible, full-time sales colleague to work over 5 days (including Saturdays), who can work additional hours to support match fixtures, colleague holidays and busy trading periods.

Immediate start available

£8.45 – per hour

£17,576 – annual salary

Location

Working at the Leeds Rugby Store at the Emerald Headingley Stadium, St Michael’s Lane, Headingley.  Leeds. LS6 3BR

Role Overview

Responsible to the Store Manager, as a permanent full-time sales colleague, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers receive the best possible service each time they visit your store.  You will assist in maximising store profitability by exceeding sales targets and minimising loss, while contributing to a successful store team.

Who should apply

  • The successful candidate will have previous retail experience; selling, customer service, store security, visual merchandising, operational procedures, cash & credit card handling, administration, stock replenishment.  Ideally your retail experience will have been gained in a sports retail environment.
  • Good communication skills are required along with having a confident and outgoing personality.
  • Flexibility is essential.
  • Experience of using Microsoft programmes such as Outlook, Word and Excel is desirable.

Position

We are looking for a permanent, flexible, part-time sales colleague to work 28 hours per week, over 5 days (including Saturdays), who can work additional hours to support match fixtures, colleague holidays and busy trading periods.

Immediate start available

£8.45 – per hour

£8,788 – 28 hours pro-rata

£12,303 – full time equivalent
