Rhinos do their bit for Yorkshire pride

Leeds Rhinos Academy and Womens players will be playing their part to capture County honours this Sunday when Yorkshire takes on Lancashire in an Academy and Womens Origin game over at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington.

Leeds Rhinos Academy and Womens players will be playing their part to capture County honours this Sunday when Yorkshire takes on Lancashire in an Academy and Womens Origin game over at the Halliwell Jones Stadium in Warrington.

On and off the pitch, the Rhinos have provided massive support the game as a representative level for players below the full England team.

The Under 18 Academy side includes seven Leeds players in their 20 man squad with Harry Newman, Tyler Dupree, Tom Holroyd, Corey Johnson, Owen Trout, Jack Broadbent and Loui McConnell all included along with Academy coach Jonny Wainhouse providing coaching support for Yorkshire and Greg Aspin, the Rhinos Women’s S&C Coach, and Mark Oxley, the Rhinos Scholarship Physio completing the backroom team. The Academy game will kick off at 12.30pm.

Aspin and Oxley will also work for Yorkshire for the Womens Origin, which kicks off at 3pm.  Leon Crick will be Yorkshire coach whilst there are six Rhinos in the Yorkshire squad as well led by the Rhinos skipper Lois Forsell along with Amy Johnson, Danielle Anderson, Caitlin Beevers, Hanna Butcher and Rhiannon Marshall.
