Lucky Leeds Rhinos member Jonathan Long, 65, from Far Headingley got the chance to go where no fan has gone before when he became the first Rhinos supporter to step foot on the new South Stand terrace to mark 50 days until it re-opens.

The Rhinos home at Emerald Headingley Stadium is currently a building site as both the South Stand and the Main Stand are being rebuilt as part of a £40 million redevelopment. However, the South Stand will be open for business again in 50 days time on Friday 2nd March when Catalans Dragons are in town with 2,000 members having already snapped up all the tickets in the terrace.

The competition to be the first to stand on the terrace is part of the club’s first Season Members Appreciation Week, which has seen the Rhinosreward Season Members with a prize draw for seats at the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley, the Grand Final at Old Trafford and the Dacia Magic Weekend, tickets to the upcoming Leeds Civic Hall reception to celebrate the Rhinos achievements in 2017, and the star prize of a week-long trip to Melbourne for one lucky 2018 Season Member to watch the Rhinos in action in the World Club Challenge against NRL Premiers Melbourne Storm on Friday 16th February.

Rhinos fan Long was joined by new Leeds signing Richie Myler who will be making his first appearance at Emerald Headingley against his former club having moved to Yorkshire from the South of France during the close season.

Standing Season Memberships are still available to purchase in the Carnegie or West Terrace for 2018, priced £216 for adults and £144 for concessions. Supporters can find out everything you need to know about Season Memberships and sign up online at tickets.therhinos.co.uk
