Bumper crowd expected for Last Stand clash

Leeds Rhinos are expecting their largest ever Super 8s crowd when they take on St Helens this Friday at Headingley Carnegie, kick off 8pm.

Leeds Rhinos are expecting their largest ever Super 8s crowd when they take on St Helens this Friday at Headingley Carnegie, kick off 8pm.

The previous highest attendance in the Super 8s came in 2015 with the visit of St Helens when 16,142 were inside Headingley Carnegie. If the crowd exceeds 17,453 it will be the largest ever Super 8s game in the third year of the concept, passing Hull’s clash with Warrington last year when the Wolves claimed the League Leaders Shield at the KCOM Stadium. With Friday’s game marking the last ever match for the famous South Stand, supporters have been quick to snap up tickets.

The South Stand has now sold out however there is still availability for the Paddock and Main Stand seats along with 1,000 Carnegie Stand terrace tickets. Leeds Rhinos and St Helens fans will be able to pay on the night at the turnstiles definitely for the Western Terrace and potentially the Carnegie Stand terrace depending on sales over the next 48 hours.

There will be a full night of entertainment for supporters with a massive build up on the pitch from 7pm until kick off, a parade of heroes at half time and a big send off after the game. The current Rhinos squad will also do the tradition lap of thanks after this game to sign autographs and pose for photos with supporters.
