Leeds Rhinos Head Coach Brian McClennan has backed his side to improve despite their 46-30 win over Hull FC for next weeks repeat in the Carnegie Challenge Cup at the KC Stadium.
The Rhinos led 16-0 in the first half but then allowed left wing Tom Briscoe in for a hat trick to bring his side back to within two points of the Champions. The Rhinos then pulled clear again and led 46-14 before allowing Hull in for another three tries including Briscoe's fourth.
Speaking after the game McClennan, "I know our team is better than that especially our right hand side defence. Our attack was patchy as well in the first half and we will be working hard this week to improve before next Saturday. I think both sets of players will sit down and review this game and be a bit perplexed by what was happening out there, it was a strange game."
