Leeds Rhinos Head Coach Brian McClennan thinks the new top eight format for the Play Offs is going to be a treat for Rugby League fans to watch over the coming month starting with Friday's clash between the Champions and Hull KR at Headingley Carnegie.
The season has built to its climax in recent weeks and it is fair to say that going into the first weekend no one can predict with any sense of certainty which way the first four games will go. And McClennan believes that will bring the best out of all the players involved.
He said, "I think the supporters are really going to enjoy the new eight team play off format. In three weeks time I think there will be a real appetite for the Grand Final amongst supporters in general and, of course, the two teams who make the final weekend. They will be ripe and ready for the Final when it comes around."
