Davidson delighted with award

He confessed that he had been troubled about how he could best do the award justice and had confided in team mate Kevin Sinfield to come up with the best way to present the award, the pair decided to give the audience clues to reveal the name of the wig.

First he produced a wig from a bag of props, then a pair of glasses with a rubber nose attached before finally stuffing a cushion up his top.

The mystery recipient was none other than the Rhinos conditioner Jason Davidson who picked up the award as recognition for his outstanding efforts with the squad.

Speaking after the presentation Davidson said, "I am delighted to win the award. When Jonesy was speaking I was thinking to myself, 'surely he is going to say something nice' but he just kept taking the mickey. What he doesn't realise though is that I will have my revenge with the fitness sessions I have got planned for him in the coming months!"
