The St Helens double winning side of 1996 have been re-united and will play a Legends XIII including former Leeds favourites Darren Fleary, Anthony Farrell, Garry Schofield, Lee Jackson, Lee Crooks, Esene Faimalo, David Hulme and Gary Connolly. Prescott is fighting the biggest battle of his life against pseudomyxoma peritonei, a rare form of stomach cancer. Commenting on the game McDermott said, "Sunday's game will be a fantastic way for the game of Rugby League to unite and show it's support for one of the sports true heroes. "Precky gave his all for whichever team he played for and I hope as many fans as possible who will be at the Leeds v Saints game on Saturday evening will also make the trip across to Knowsley Road on Sunday afternoon. "It will be great occasion and a chance for fans to see stars from recent decades in action again and play the new crowd participation game, guess who's put the most weight on!" joked McDermott.
