It was with much regret and deep sadness that Leeds Rhinos learnt of the death of Vice President Sir Noel Stockdale this week. Sir Noel had been a member of the Leeds CF&A Board of Directors since the mid 1950's. He became Football Chairman in the early 1960's following the death of Rex Proctor in a road accident. He later became Vice-Chairman and held this position until Paul Caddick took over in 1996. From 1996 to the date of his death he was a Vice-President of Leeds CF&A. The Leeds team will mark their respects before the Francis Cummins Testimonial game at Headingley this Sunday, kick off 3pm. The thoughts of everyone at Headingley are with the Stockdale family at this time.
