There was disappointment for the Junior Academy on Sunday as they lost out 26-12 to Salford at the Willows. Winger Eddie Vaughan was the architect of the Rhinos downfall with a hat trick however the young Rhinos will have been disappointed to lose a game that they looked like they could win at one stage. The Rhinos only trailed 10-4 at the break but they produced too many errors to make their possession count on the scoreboard. The Rhinos tries came from winger Stephen Harvey, stand off Chris Clarkson and hooker Jack Ely, all unconverted. The man of the match award went to prop Ben Parkinson. The Junior Academy are next in action this Sunday when they play Hull KR at Stanningley ARLFC, kick off 12 noon. This game will be followed at 2.30pm by the Foundation Academy's first game of the season against Salford. Leeds Rhinos: Mathew Fox, Stephen Harvey, Chris Hope, Danny Lawton (c), Ethan Phillips, Chris Clarkson, Ryan Gaunt, Ben Parkinson, Jack Ely, John Elkington, Christian Duncan, Brooke Broughton, Scott Smith Subs: Chris Hindle, Daniel Bravo, Tim Scire, Tom Flounder
